Everyclick founder wins Women in Ethical Business Award

Polly Gowers, CEO and co-founder of Everyclick.com, the search engine that helps charities, was voted the Entrepreneur of the Year at the Women in Ethical Business Awards 2007. She beat five other nominees to secure the award which celebrates the best female-run ethical business in the UK.

Speaking at the award’s ceremony, Triodos Bank Managing Director, Charles Middleton, said: “Ethical enterprise is bigger than ever. Inspiring businesses and the entrepreneurs behind them are meeting the public’s voracious appetite for products that benefit people and the environment. This award celebrates the people behind the cream of this growing ethical crop.”

Polly Gowers said: “This caps an amazing two years. Winning this WEBA will help highlight that making a small change to your daily routine can make a massive difference to the cause you care about.”

Everyclick was launched in June 2005 by Polly Gowers and Julia Felton and has generated more than £200,000 for charity. The company donates 50% of its gross revenue to charity.
