York University Students Union Rag Society is looking for five charities to be its new beneficiaries for 2007-08.

The Rag Society is looking for three local (helping the York/Yorkshire community), one national, and one international charity to support in the next academic year.

The total amount raised for the beneficiaries fund will then be divided up equally and distributed in lump sums after the end of the year.

YUSU RAG says that it will sometimes give preference to charities which are proposed by York students. If your charity has an active student involvement, then this should be detailed on the application form, with details of the name and contact details of a student with whom this can be verified.

The closing date for applications is 1 June 2007.
