Since it was established at the end of 2003, the EDF Energy Trust has awarded more than £3 million to clear debts, giving grants to people struggling to pay their energy bills.

The charitable trust, supported by EDF Energy, has made 6,146 awards so far. It is available for customers of EDF Energy, including the brands formerly known as SWEB Energy, Seeboard Energy and London Energy.

People can apply to the Trust for help to clear debts of gas and electricity, and in exceptional cases, the Trust can also provide funds for other essential household items and bills.
