Following last week’s Budget announcement of a drop of 2% in income tax, UK Fundraising has teamed up with iconcertina.com and Giving Matters to bring you a Gift Aid loss calculator. How much will your charity lose when the tax cut comes in to force?

To find out how much Gift Aid income you’re likely to lose simply enter the total annual amount of Gift Aid your charity reclaimed in the 06/07 tax year. You’ll then see how much this would be when the reduced rate of 20% income tax kicks in, and the calculator will also calculate the the value of this reduction.

While the Chancellor did introduce some measures in the Budget to promote Gift Aid, there’s no time like the present to start working even harder to secure tax-efficient donations by Gift Aid and persuade all tax-paying donors to complete a Gift Aid declaration.
