Youth volunteering initiative v and HSBC are offering grants totalling £1 million for distribution over four rounds in the vcashpoint programme.

Vcashpoint has been run by v20, v’s Youth Advisory Board, and has been designed to give young people time to think about their volunteering project ideas before applications are available. This “will allow young people more time to think about the detail of their project which should generate well thought-out and thoroughly planned volunteering projects”.

A brainstorming kit called ‘Outside the Box’ is available to help inspire fresh ideas for local projects. In trials, users have said that it has helped them identify potential volunteering project ideas.
