International charitable and financial services organisation Foresters has achieved record-breaking results during 2006. The company, which reinvests profits in the community via its membership and branch network, raised £1.3 million for over 100 charities and provided 260,000 volunteer hours from their members for community projects.

The members are based around 74 local branches across the UK and each branch annually selects a charity to support. Last year’s fundraising was 78% up on the previous year.

Foresters’ community partnerships in 2006 included supporting local schools and hospital appeals as well as charities such as Barnardo’s with their annual Toy Appeal, which raised £145,000. Foresters also supported a variety of CLIC Sargent events raising almost £250,000 in 2006, and The Association of Children’s Hospices.
