Government announces ‚€5 million disability funding

The Irish Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform is making ‚€5 million available to voluntary organisations working with the disabled. Charities will have to act quickly as the deadline for applications is 1st December.

The funding is for the purchase of equipment which will contribute to independent living. Examples given include wheelchairs, beds, hoists and vehicles. Technologies and appliances are also eligible.

Applications are available from both the Department of Justice and National Disability Authority.
