New Business Development Manager at Arts & Business West Midlands

Brenda Parkerson has been appointed as business development manager of Arts & Business (A&B) West Midlands. Arts & Business is the national charity dedicated to encouraging new and sustainable relationships between business and the arts.

Parkerson said that she will focus on maximising business take-up of A&B business membership and related services to help them gain the most from their partnerships with the arts.

Parkerson previously worked as a freelance arts consultant, and before that as Creative Development Manager at Birmingham City Council’s Arts Division and Economic Development Department.

She has worked across the creative industries as a manager, film producer and professional ballet dancer. Her experience in business development, marketing and fundraising is underpinned by a recent MBA awarded with distinction from Aston University.
