Campbell Robb has been appointed as the Director General, Office of the Third Sector (OTS) in the Cabinet Office. He will be responsible for driving the Government’s strategic approach “to enhance and enable a thriving third sector”.

Campbell, currently Director of Public Policy at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), will work to Hilary Armstrong, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, and Ed Miliband, Minister for the Third Sector, in the Cabinet Office.

His role will include drawing on the strengths of the third sector in helping improve public services; co-ordinating work on cross-government delivery programmes to help develop an effective third sector; and working with third sector organisations to help the Government develop “sustainable and prosperous communities”. He will also focus on encouraging the growth of social enterprise.
