Plenary speakers announced for Scottish Conference

The Institute of Fundraising Scotland has announced some of the speakers that will be presenting at its upcoming annual conference.

The conference’s opening and welcome plenary session with be delivered by the multi-award winning entrepreneur and philanthropist Chris Gorman. He will use his session to give his view on what makes an entrepreneur and why he gives.

Cascaid’s Alan Clayton will kick-start Wednesday’s sessions with his Reasons to get out of Bed plenary. Personal development expert Jack Black will deliver Thursday’s keynote speech.

Getting Started with TikTok: An Introduction to Fundraising & Supporter Engagement

The conference will end with Tony Elischer delivering his “Nae Limits” plenary. It will “offer original directions on creativity and strategy in fundraising”, according to the Institute.

Conference Chair Gordon Michie said: “This year’s conference aims to lift frontiers and let us all think beyond our usual limits to the increasingly globalised range of markets and techniques that we can all use. It is entirely fitting that this theme of challenging frontiers is reflected a world-class line up of speakers. “

The conference takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow, from 31 October to 2 November 2006.
