Donors' Charter rewritten as 'Fundraising Promise'

The Fundraising Standards Board has rewritten and retitled its Donors’ Charter and is launching it as the ‘Fundraising Promise’. Members of the Institute of Fundraising have been invited to view the new document.

Lindsay Boswell, Chief Executive of the Institute of Fundraising, today emailed members encouraging them to review the Fundraising Promise and “mak[e] a commitment to the UK-wide self-regulatory scheme for fundraising”.

All organisations that sign up to self-regulation will be required to commit to and promote the Fundraising Promise, alongside the Institute’s Codes of Fundraising Practice.
