Autumn Tax-Effective Giving Training Begins

The Institute of Fundraising (‘Institute’) is kicking off its autumn programme of tax-effective giving training courses this week. Now in its sixth month, the Institute’s tax-effective giving training course programme has been attended by over 300 charity delegates. Tax-effective giving support services provided by the Institute have also enabled 5,000 free Making Giving Go Further booklets and CDs to be distributed within the voluntary sector. Over 1,000 charities have contacted the Institute’s email and helpline facility.

The Institute’s tax-effective giving workshops are designed to support charities looking to maximise their income through Gift Aid, Share Giving, Payroll Giving and Legacies. The programme of England-wide workshops identify how charities can increase their income by making the most of the tax-effective giving methods that are currently available. Topics covered include how to get started using Gift Aid, the benefits for charities in promoting Payroll Giving schemes to businesses and the advantages of giving shares.
