Northern Ireland barristers have given a £25,000 donation to a charity that supports special education for children with autism. The money was raised by members of the bar council.

The donation will be used by SPEAC (Special Provision for the Education of Autism Children) to refurbish premises and provide equipment at its special school at Tor Bank in Belfast.

SPEAC require £200,000 a year to provide the specialist ABA tuition, with 77.5% of this expenditure spent on the School, 17.5% spent on outreach and dissemination and 5% on Management and Administration.
