Northern Bank to distribute £100,000

Howard Lake | 22 June 2006 | News

One of Northern Ireland’s leading banks, the Northern, has established a community fund worth £100,000. The money will be allocated on a geographic basis within Northern Ireland with grants up to £5,000.

Each region — Belfast, East, North and South and West — will have £25,000 to allocate in 2006. Grants will be between £500-£5,000, with only one award to each group in each two year period.

All groups who are involved in knowledge, culture and recreational sports locally can apply for support.
A steering group in each Northern Bank region will assess applications for support. The closing date for applications is 29th September with awards distributed in November.
