Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation passes £2 million donation mark

Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation has announced that it has donated over £2 million, with more than 3,600 charities and local good causes receiving money.

The first Foundation cheque was awarded in 1999 and since then the number and value of donations has increased year on year.

In 2005, 424 donations were made totalling £314,300, and in 2006 more than 700 local charities and good causes have been supported.
