UK Fundraising Newswire carries over 40 news releases

The UK Fundraising Newswire service, launched earlier this week, has now carried over 40 fundraising-related news releases at no charge. The latest five releases are now appearing on the front page of UK Fundraising, beneath the five main news items.

The new blog-based service, designed to allow PR staff at charities, PR agencies and fundraising agencies to post news releases rapidly and directly onto UK Fundraising, already has 38 registered users and the most prolific user has already posted five news releases.

The service should prove a valuable new tool for PR staff. Not only can they ensure news items appear on UK Fundraising when they want, but the service immediately notifies blog search engines such as technorati as soon as a new release is added. Furthermore, all news items are published in RSS format, meaning that people can sign up to keep abreast of new releases, and other websites can publish our feed of news headlines on their pages.

While the service will become fee-based in due course for commercial organisations, although not for charities, it is still available to use at no charge.

PR staff simply have to register, wait for approval from the moderator, and then they are fee to start posting their news releases, which can include photos or graphics.
