MySociety.com calls for innovative electronic scaleable proposals

Howard Lake | 3 May 2006 | News

MySociety, the organisation that built the Pledgebank.com and WriteToThem.com web tools, is once again seeking proposals for innovative, digital tools “which give people simple, tangible benefits in the civic and community aspects of their lives.” They will build the winning proposal.

MySociety last called for proposals two and a half years ago.

If you have an innovative primarily web-based idea to make a difference and it has the potential to be scaled up easily and at low cost then let MySociety know.

Their previous success, PledgeBank.com, encourages people to commit to doing something useful but only if a set number of other people also pledge to do so. Activities can include a donation to a charity, tidying up a local area, taking part in a protest action, or organise a charity event.

MySociety will build the winning proposal using their own funds and volunteer effort.
