www.askcharity.org.uk are helping organise a seminar on new uses of
the web. Web 2.0 for good will be held at the RSA in London on 22nd
May 3pm-7pm.

It’s one of the first events in the UK which explores how new Web-
based social tools such as blogs, wikis, podcasting and social
bookmarking can be used to promote social change and innovation.
These new “Web 2.0” tools offer huge potential for campaigning
organisations, charities, social entrepreneurs and CSR practitioners
to extend their reach, prominence and impact. At Web 2.0 for Good
over 100 early adopters, technologists, bloggers and writers will
convene to explore not just what these tools are but the values and
philosophy that underpin their use. It will be interactive,
informative, fun but resolutely framed around conversation not
didactic communication. The organisers will use a mixture of
demonstration, improvisation, games and dynamic facilitation formats
developed by Policy Unplugged.
