New Director of Communications at I CAN

I CAN, the charity that helps children communicate, has announced the appointment of Anita Kerwin-Nye as its new Director of Communications.
Anita will lead a communications team which incorporates public relations, marketing and new media. As well as leading I CAN’s public affairs and campaigning activity she will oversee the development of the organisation’s engagement and participation programmes.
Anita joins I CAN from NotDeadFish, a consultancy providing advice to charities and the public sector.

Previously, Anita spent nine years at the British Red Cross where she joined as National Training Manager and progressed to leading the First Aid and Education divisions respectively. She is also a youth worker and qualified teacher.
