Nominate your charity to benefit from author's royalties

Howard Lake | 30 January 2006 | News

Jessica Williams, author of the popular 2004 “50 Facts that Should Change the World”, has written “How to give to charity.” She will donate the royalties from the sales of this book, with Icon Books pledging to match her donations, to the charity that wins the readers’ online vote.

Jessica Williams’ book asks popular questions such as how much should you give? How much does everyone else give? Isn’t it the government’s job to fund charities? Why do charities use face to face fundraisers on the streets?

The book is a call to arms to get people thinking more about how they can give to charity – whether it’s through monthly donations, fundraising or volunteering to run a local sports club.
