Howard Lake | 5 January 2006 | News

From this year on, staff at Unity Trust Bank will be allowed to spend up to five days a year volunteering for a charity or voluntary organisation of their choice.

Kevin Turmore, the managing director of Unity, announced this initiative as part of the bank’s commitment to working with the social economy sector.

Staff are free to choose which projects they support in the community as well as how they manifest that support. In addition, the Bank are not asking the staff to match the time they are offering.
