CAF announces grants for first quarter of 2005

CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) has announced grants for the first quarter of its 2005 Grant Programme.

The first round, completed on 29 July, awarded more than £56,000 from CAF’s
Consultancy and Training Fund. Among the 32 charities to be awarded grants were Kids Cookery School Ltd, and the
Marine Conservation Society which secured a ten day health check and placement on a CAF workshop.

The second stage, announced on 30 September, awarded 44 grants worth over £307,000. Amongst others, African Caribbean Voices Association and BIBIC (British Institute for Brain Injured Children) received funding.

In the third round, announced this week, grants totalling £74,000 were awarded to 35 charities.

Charities have until 31 January to apply for the next round of funding.
