Tesco moves to online only applications for charity of the year

Supermarket retailer Tesco has changed its application requirements for charities wishing to apply for its charity of the year partnership. It has introduced a web-based questionnaire to help charities avoid submitting detailed speculative proposals.

Tesco’s corporate responsibility manager Linda Marsh told Third Sector magazine: “We have changed the process so that charities don’t submit proposals unnecessarily.” Tesco is accepting applications via the questionnaire from UK-wide charities involved in health and children’s services.

The online application form does not yet appear to be live on Tesco’s site,
