Howard Lake | 18 November 2005 | News

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), have launched a “Red Tape – Cut it out” campaign in Scotland after the Government’s Better Regulation Task Force published a report entitled “Better Regulation for Civil Society”.

The campaign focuses on the cost to charities and other voluntary organisations in staff time and administration by complying with demands for information from regulatory authorities.

Some organisations were required to complete information for multiple regulatory authorities — some wanting similar information but in different formats and timescales.
