New quality mark for promotion of payroll giving schemes

The Institute of Fundraising has announced that a new Quality Mark scheme that recognises and rewards charities and businesses for making Payroll Giving schemes available and promoting them to staff will be launched in January 2006.

The Quality Mark scheme will encourage employers to sign up to Payroll Giving and promote it to staff. Those meeting certain requirements will then be rewarded them with a certificate and use of a logo which they can use to demonstrate publicly demonstrate their commitment to good causes.

Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards will be presented to those employers that achieve tiered employee participation target levels.

The Institute will announce further details when the scheme is launched in January 2006.
