The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s campaign to help it buy Lower Moor Farm generated over £1.4 million, a record for the environmental charity. It needed to raise at least £805,000 to buy the 96-acre area.

The Trust’s 17,000 members and other supporters donated over £113,000 to the fundraising appeal for the farm.

In addition the charity received £1.2 million in grant aid from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Aggregates Levy, together with donations from the Hills Group and Grantscape, for purchase and development of the site.
