Howard Lake | 16 October 2005 | News

Ten charities in Kent have won £1,000 each from the Get Kent Giving competition organised by CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) and the Kent Messenger Group.

The Get Kent Giving campaign is designed to encourage people and businesses in the area to make regular, tax-efficient donations to their favourite good causes. It is part of the National Giving Week campaign which starts today.

The winners were picked from each of the Kent Messenger Group’s readership areas from the 130 charities which were nominated. They will be put into a county-wide draw for the chance to win a further £10,000. The runner up will receive £4,000.
