Law firm achieves 27% take-up for payroll giving

European law firm Wessing Taylor has persuaded 27% of its UK employees to give to charity through their pay, far ahead of the average uptake of 5% staff participation within UK companies.

Following annual promotions of the scheme by Workplace Giving UK, participation has increased year on year. Employees now give over £45,000 per annum to a range of UK charities of their choice including the Roald Dahl Foundation, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and NSPCC.

Payroll giving raised £91 million for good causes in the last financial year, and, according to Workplace Giving UK, is the fastest growing form of tax effective giving.
