Guy Stringer wins Lifetime Achievement in Fundraising award

Guy Stringer, former director of Oxfam, and founder of the Resource Alliance, was recognised for his contribution to fundraising at the Institute of Fundraising’s awards ceremony last week.
He was instrumental in setting up fundraising through fair trade at Oxfam. After becoming director of Oxfam in 1982 he oversaw a jump in income from £2.5 million to £51 million.
