Queen makes personal donation to fire charity

The Fire Services National Benevolent Fund (FSNBF) has been granted a Royal Seal of Approval, as Her Majesty the Queen has given a personal donation to the charity’s Phoenix Appeal.

Her Majesty has been patron of the charity for many years and donated to the Appeal after hearing about the Therapy revolution the charity is pioneering for its beneficiaries.

Its state-of-the-art Therapy centre in the Lake District is amongst the most progressive and innovative therapy facility in Europe, providing a number of targeted treatments to support its beneficiaries back to full fitness. The appeal seeks to build an equivalent facility in the South of the UK.
