Awards for fundraisers in Northern Ireland launched

The Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland is launching its inaugural fundraising awards to recognise the achievements and impact of professional and volunteer fundraisers.

Paul Kane, Chairman of the Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland, said: “This is an important new initiative from the Institute as it recognises the work and commitment of professional fundraisers and in this the Year of the Volunteer the importance of Volunteer Fundraisers.

“The awards categories are Volunteer Fundraiser of the year and Professional Fundraiser of the year.

“Prizes include a weekend for two at Radisson SAS Roe, Limavady and a bursary to attend Institute of Fundraising Convention, London July 2005.”

Nominations are invited from professional fundraisers and individuals and groups working in a voluntary capacity. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Thursday 26 May 2005 and nomination forms can be obtained from:

The winners will be announced at The Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland Convention on 30 June 2005 at the Beechlawn Hotel.
