Cisco Systems and CTT launch series of web-based ICT seminars
Cisco and Charity Technology Trust (CTT) are partnering to present a series of free information and communications technology (ICT) seminars aimed at helping the charity sector make better use of technology.
The first series will comprise three free web-based seminars on the following
topics:
- Virtual Private Networks (VPN): how to increase communication and collaboration within an organisation, especially those with mobile workers, or remote locations wishing to connect to one another and a central network. The web seminar will take place on 20 April 2005 at 14.00 and on 10 May at 14.00.
- collaboration and e-learning: learn about
voice, Internet and video conferencing to enable distribution of information. This should be useful for organisations that run projects that need input from multiple people, have teams that need to share information and collaborate on work, need to hold frequent meetings, or run training sessions with people in different locations or at home. The web seminar will be held on 29 April 2005 at 14.00 and on 12 May at the same time. - Extranet resources: learn about extranet implementation and how it can help your
organisation e.g by making resources available to remote workers, supporters, contributors, and users over the web. The web seminar will be held on 4 May 2005 at 14.00 and repeated on 16 May at the same time.
