Bmycharity seek to share ideas on interactive fundraising

Online fundraising company Bmycharity is invting “creative and innovative fundraisers” to share ideas and explore concepts of interactive fundraising to help create “the next generation of fundraising events”.

Bmycharity’s founder Ben Brabyn is convinced that it is time to offer donors “a more
interactive, exciting and involved role in sponsored event fundraising”. For too long, he says, “the donor has been asked for cash and then ignored”.

He has been struck by the success of reality TV shows which illustrate how donors are prepared to participate in fundraising activities if their participation can have an
influence on outcomes – whether that’s voting for your favourite celebrity or deciding what task awaits the occupants of the Big Brother House.

He is therefore looking for other creative online events fundraisers who share his interest in bringing in the donor ‘from the cold’. He hopes to be able to “share ideas and explore concepts surrounding interactive fundraising on an open-source basis.”
