Centrica choose NCH as charity of the year

Centrica has chosen children’s charity NCH, to be its Charity of the Year partner for 2005-2006 and employees aim to raise £250,000 for NCH.

The campaign entitled ‘Helping Children Shine’ will fund projects supporting vulnerable young people and children in local communities across Britain and will focus attention on the four key areas of NCH – young carers, mental health, disability, and adopting and fostering

Employees of Centrica, which owns companies British Gas, Scottish Gas, One.Tel and Dyno group in Britain and has energy operations in North America and Europe, have raised over £2 million for its charitable partners since the foundation of its Charity of the Year initiative in 1999. The company says that the scheme is actively supported by over 90 per cent of its 29,000 UK employees.
