AMA to handle calls from Battersea Dogs Home's DRTV campaign

Howard Lake | 12 February 2005 | News

AMA Charity Services is to handle all inbound calls generated by Battersea Dogs Home’s latest fundraising DRTV campaign, which begins 14 February.

The contract was awarded to AMA as a result of a successful test conducted by the animal protection charity on satellite channels. The advert will this time be tested on terrestrial television.

The fundraising team at Battersea will also be using AMA’s text short messaging service (SMS) for the first time. The campaign will encourage supporters to text in, expressing an interest in pledging support to the charity. They will in turn be contacted by an AMA operator to discuss the options for donation in further detail.

Fintan Bradley, Marketing Director of AMA, said: “I believe that in conjunction with our traditional service, SMS messaging will be of huge benefit to the charity, by attracting younger donors, and also making it possible for people to enquire whilst on the move.”
