Jessops raises over £50,000 for CLIC

Staff and customers of photographic retailer Jessops have raised over £50,000 for CLIC Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood.

The company set the target in December 2003 when it chose CLIC for its first national charity partnerships. Since then, £53,155.95 has been raised.

Fundraising activities have include in-store and head office fundays, customer raffles, and sponsored events. Jessops stores have sold CLIC merchandise throughout the year, and have also collected cash donations in CLIC collecting tins.

Jessops Meadowhall Centre beat the other 259 Jessops stores by raising the most, over £700.

Jessops has now set a new fundraising target of £70,000 for 2005, which is the company’s 70th birthday. According to the ‘Clicometer’ on the company’s website, they have already raised £4,000 of this total.
