Save the Children’s Tsunami appeal has handled over £400,000 in the past week, with donation speeds increasing even at peak demand.

Save the Children used Bmycharity’s Appealtracker service to handle the donations online.

While other sites, including that of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), have struggled to meet demand, the average donation time on the site has reduced by 20% while average donation value has surged to nearly £100.

Using Bmycharity tracking services, Save the Children have also been able to record the performance of different appeal material and media, which should pave the way for even faster and more efficient online fundraising in future.

Bmycharity’s high capacity servers and network of secure payment gateways were handling several thousand pounds of donations per minute at times.
