Diss doesn't disappoint with Christmas lights appeal

The town of Diss has beaten last year’s total of £5 to pay for the town’s decorative Christmas lights.

Last year UK Fundraising reported on the total of £5 that was raised by the people and companies of Diss to pay for their town’s Christmas decorative lights.

The town was the butt of jokes for its mean-spirited approach to Christmas. One TV show even had a whip-round from its audience to help the townspeople of Diss have a more festive experience.

This year the people of Diss have done a lot better, raising £13,600 of the £25,000 target set.
