The historic Live Aid fundraising concert held on 13 July 1985 will finally be released for the first time on DVD in November 2004.

Live Aid was held at London’s Wembley Stadium and Philadelphia’s JFK Stadium. The concert raised more than $70 million for famine relief in Africa.

The four-disc DVD package will be released by Warner Vision International.

The DVD release came about after pirated copies were found online. As a result the Band Aid Trust agreed to auction the global rights for the concerts for the first time. Nevertheless, while the tracklist is extensive, it does not include every song performed at the concert, which will disappoint many.

The DVD set will retail at £39.99, although Amazon.co.uk is currently offering it for £27.99, a 30% reduction. It is already taking pre-orders.
