Bmycharity introduces free Gift Aid collection

Online donations company Bmycharity has worked with the Inland Revenue to develop a free new method of reclaiming Gift Aid for online sponsorship and donations.
Bmycharity’s online donations service has now been enhanced to include the reclaiming of Gift Aid. The new service is provided at no charge and, says the company, complies fully with Inland Revenue requirements.
Andy Jones, Outreach Manager of the Inland Revenue Charities Office, said: “Bmycharity have worked with us to ensure that they can reclaim Gift Aid on behalf of their client charities while helping us with our data storage and audit requirements.”

Bmycharity started handling online donations for charities four years ago, and
its clients include Cancer Research UK, Oxfam and Save the Children. Each year it has grown by over 300%, it says, in terms of the value of donations handled.
Ben Brabyn, Managing Director of Bmycharity, said: “We’ve been asked to help a number of our partners to reclaim Gift Aid and by working with the Inland Revenue we’ve been able to drive down the costs – so we can now offer the service for free. This adds even more value to the services we provide to our partner charities and ensures that their Gift Aid claims are compliant with Inland Revenue requirements.”
