Governmentfunding.org.uk bulletin board Q&A session today
The governmentfunding.org.uk site is holding an online question and answer session this afternoon to help people understand how to use its bulletin board.
The session will be held between 1pm and 3pm on Friday 23 July. During this time the government funding research team, based at the Directory of Social Change, will be answering questions posted on the board.
DSC points out that the session is about how to use the bulletin board itself. “We will not,” they say, “be able to provide feedback on specific applications, as the relevant department is responsible for their assessments.”

The bulletin board was launched on 1 July 2004 to help organisations searching the site’s free information on over £100 million of government grants communicate with each other. In its first three weeks, the 9,700 or so registered users of the site have posted 14 messages.
There have been some helpful responses to users’ questions, but already the forum’s category system is not being monitored effectively: none of the three posts to the “Future forums – have your say” category are related to suggestions for forum categories.
