Ruralnet to generate income from businesses from its e-mail briefings

Regeneration charity Ruralnet UK is sell its daily e-mail briefings to businesses via its trading subsidiary, RNUK.

Can you make money from e-mail newsletters, particularly one that has been published for free? Ruralnet UK believe they can, by marketing it to companies.

The charity’s Xpress Digest is sent out daily to 500 voluntary organisations, and lists 16 items of news from UK and European funders. It was first published in 2002.

The service will be sold to businesses for £250 a year, and Ruralnet hopes the profits will subsidise the costs of publishing it for free to voluntary organisations.
