University of Leeds appoints Cascaid for first alumni campaign

The University of Leeds has appointed Cascaid to produce their first Alumni fundraising campaign, due to start in September 2004.

The campaign not only aims to acquire new donors and raising money for current students but it also intended to educate recipients about the idea of alumni fundraising. The multi-media campaign will incorporate mail, telephone (in association with McGregor Jones) and e-mail communications and will test different segments of the alumni base.

Roger Lawson, Managing Director of Cascaid Marketing and lead planner said: “These are exciting times for the University. They have built strong relationships with many alumni over the last few years, but have never asked them for donations. They now have alumni who have actually asked to be able to give to the University.

“Rather than simply ask every alumnus for a donation, we have developed a testing matrix in order to maximize both income and learning for developing the fundraising strategy of future campaigns.”
