New press release distribution service for charities

Community Wire aims to help voluntary and community organisations delive their news releases direct to the desktops of journalists via The Press Association’s online and regional wire services.
Community Wire is a joint initiative of
The Press Association and the Media Trust, with funding from the Active Community Unit.
Organisations are invited to submit news via the Web site. These are then selected,

edited and distributed. There is no charge for the service.
The Web site includes tips on how to write a good press release and to plan your media campaign.
Twenty stories a day will be selected to go out on The Press Association’s regional newswires to the country’s national and local newspapers and broadcast media.
