Cancer Research UK launches card and gift shops

Cancer Research UK is the first UK charity to set up a commercial card and gift shop chain.
The first of the new shops, branded “Wishes”, have opened in Romford and Hammersmith in London, and four more are due to open in Durham, Macclesfield, Northwich and East Kilbride. The cards will be sourced from a range of UK publishers, but will of course include the charity’s own branded cards.
The shops are designed to stand out from those of other competitors. For example, customers will be able to write and post cards in the shops.
