Two charities end joint fundraising activities

Howard Lake | 19 May 2004 | News

Two charities based in Gloucestershire have decided to end their joint fundraising activities after they yielded poor results.

Cotswold Care Hospice in Minchinhampton and Winston’s Wish set up Gloucestershire Gold Lottery, which offered weekly cash prizes between £5 and £1000 for a £1 ticket. However, the last draw will take place on 11 June 2004 due to “unsatisfactory” financial results, according to the BBC.

<>The local lottery had benefited from radio coverage on Severn Sound FM and regular press coverage.
