New cashback scheme for laser and inkjet cartridges

Howard Lake | 9 April 2004 | News

Cartridge supply company Ink Fantastic has launched CommunityInk, an affiliate programme that earns 50p each time a charity or community group’s supporters make a purchase.

Many schools and charities are raising funds by sending laser and inkjet cartridges off for recycling but a new scheme from Ink Fantastic lets them raise funds when buying these items as new.

Supporters can buy inkjet cartridges (and laser cartridges when they are added to the service in the future) either online or via the telephone. They are prompted for the charity, school or community group’s ID code and then the sale is credited to that organisation. Payment is made to beneficiary organisations every month, provided they have earned over £10.

To benefit, schools and voluntary groups do of course have to register, at no charge, to obtain their unique ID.

Ink Fantastic say that the scheme is particularly directed at schools (including PTA’s), registered charities, churches and other religious or community groups. They will however work with other groups provided
they can show that they are involved in voluntary activities of direct benefit to individuals or groups of people other than themselves.
