Northern Ireland based contact centre AMA has introduced an short message service (SMS) service for its charity clients.

Fintan Bradley, Director of AMA Charity Services Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer yet another marketing tool to our charity clients. We believe that SMS will help charities with their donor development and retention programmes while radically increasing campaign profitability. The system we have purchased allows us to “group send” to thousands of individuals and to time the release for maximum impact.

“The response mechanism also allows our charities immediate access to their donors, and to have a greater understanding of what they think and feel.”

AMA believe the new service is relevant to charities looking to attract the younger donor who are habitual mobile phone users and to face-to-face recruits who tend to fit this younger profile.
