Innovative Internet ideas wanted by MySociety.org

MySociety.org is a new charitable project from the people behind FaxYourMP.com and VoxPolitics; they are looking for innovative internet projects which have strong, real world benefits, and which do so at very low cost per person served.

MySociety.org is looking to select two projects and then seek funding to bring them to fruition. You can submit your ideas online. They stress they have no funding yet, but are waiting to choose their two projects.

They are looking for ideas similar to those that have produced UpMyStreet.com, FaxYourMp.com, Timebank.org.uk and LiftShare.com. They argue “it is precisely because we can’t name a large number of such projects that MySociety is needed.” As UK Fundraising nears its ninth anniversary of using the Internet to share fundraising expertise at no cost, and with no external funding, we couldn’t agree more.
