Refuge to raise funds to cover costs of new advice Web site

Howard Lake | 17 September 2003 | News

Women’s charity Refuge has partnered with the Body Shop to raise £60,000 to create a Web site to offer advice online.

How do you cover the costs of an advanced Web site if you can’t cover them from existing income? You run a special appeal. That is Refuge’s approach in its campaign with the Body Shop.

The ‘Stop violence in the home’ campaign was launched last week. For three weeks the campaign will have a shop-window presence in over 300 Body Shop stores. Leaflets will be available instore for 12 months.
